READ ALL ABOUT LAST YEARS RIDE ON OUR BLOG!
Michigan Coast Riders number one goal is to help you achieve the ride of a life time. For many of you this will be your first experience riding on a multiple day tour. As a past ride leader/mechanic/and sag leader I can assure you the staff of MCR is well trained and up to the challenge of giving you that experience. All you need to do is get up every morning, eat a hardy breakfast, get on your bike and ride to the first sag stop. There you will be able to refill water bottles, munch on some goodies, make a peanut butter sandwich, or try some fresh fruit. After leaving the sag you can enjoy the rest of day from the saddle of your bike until you reach your hotel room. Then it is kick back and relax time, take a shower, and explore the town. But be back by 6:00 pm to enjoy dinner that night at one of the local restaurants. After dinner do a little more exploring and then find that soft pillow for a good night’s sleep in the comfort of your hotel room. That’s pretty much your routine for the next 14 days in a row.
Your average daily mileage is 76 miles of flat with some easy rolling terrain. I have designed this route with as many views of Lake Michigan as I could. Due to the popularity of those views, I must remind you that vehicle traffic can and will be ever present. I have had to avoid some areas where the road just couldn’t accommodate cycles and vehicles together safely. Your safety is always our concern.
Please read all of the information carefully. If you have any questions you can contact me at michigancoastriders@gmail.com or by dialing 616-450-3450.
See you this summer!
